If you are looking to live and work in Australia, you must ensure that your skills must firstly be in demand. The Australian government has a list of skilled labour jobs called Skilled Occupation List (SOL).
The list consists of very particular designations which are country’s requirement. However, this does not mean you should feel stressed if your skill is not included in the list.
They maintain Consolidated Skilled Occupation List, for individual states of Australia offering employment in that area.

In the case of both the SOL and CSOL, it is not necessary that you have worked in any of the specific occupations listed. Since your skills will have to be examined by the Australian Government anyway. So as long as your current skills are transferable and relatable
in the the list of position, you can still be accepted for a visa. However it may be best to look for more generic jobs rather than a purely vocational one.
While in most cases, they demand formal qualification. But in certain positions they require some work experience. However, this will be explicitly stated in the search findings in a manner such as “The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Diploma. Or higher qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience.”
Obviously, these applications cannot guarantee success. But by following the steps of making sure that you have the best skill set for the jobs needed. Or the closest possible as well as the relevant work experience certainly stands you in good stead for the application process.
